[Push Pass] * [Outside of the Foot Pass]
Passing is the basis of the game of soccer. It is the skill of propelling
the ball to another player so that he or she can control the ball and is
able to easily continue play. The push pass, while not the most powerful
of passes, is the most accurate when performed properly. It is used for
short to medium distance play and sometimes for shooting.

As the player approaches the ball, place the non-kicking foot along side the ball with the toe pointed in the direction of the pass. Slightly bend the knee of the non-kicking leg. Bring the kicking foot back, keeping eyes on the ball. Lock the ankle of the kicking foot with the toe pointed up towards the knee. |

Follow through, keeping the ankle locked, over the top of the ball, pushing it, so that it rolls along the ground. |
The outside of the foot may be used for short or medium distance passes.
It is usually used to start a wall pass (give and go).
